IN-PERSON & VIRTUAL SERVICES

As a Psychoeducator, I have an expertise in working with children, adolescents and families. I specialize in one-on-one interventions, group facilitation (child and parent groups), family work and parent coaching.

In my work with children and adolescents, I focus on building on an individual`s strengths to help them develop more appropriate coping strategies, communication skills, and emotional regulation skills.

In my work with parents and families, I view parents as the experts on their child and collaborate with parents in helping them become more confident and effective in their parenting skills, in helping strengthen the child/parent relationship, and in improving communication within the family. I help parents set appropriate limits/boundaries while validating their child`s emotions. I build on a family’s strengths and look at what is working well, in order to help this happen more frequently. My goal is to help parents experience more harmony within their home.

In addition, I can help with school challenges related to behaviour and advocate for helpful strategies in the classroom to best support a child/adolescent.
